10 Social media Marketing ideas for aesthetic clinics to increase clientele

Building a strong online presence is key to growing your client base.

Clients looking for your particular treatments, services, location etc. will inevitably do a Google or Instagram search, so you need to make sure your online presence and socials make a powerful first impression to gain an edge on competitors. Here are our top 10 social media marketing tips for aesthetic clinics to help you attract clients through your socials.

1.      Location – Growing your client base means we are looking at new clients who may not know the name of your clinic, and so will very likely be searching a treatment or service by location. To appear at the top of Google search results, you need to have a Google Business Profile. Not only will this show your location, you can also link your social media profile here. 2.      Show Yourself - Show more of yourself and your staff on your social media posts through both photos and videos; something as simple as you performing a treatment will help give a face to the business. When your ideal client sees you and can get a n impression of the personality of both you and your clinic, it builds a sense of trust and a good client/business relationship foundation.

3.      Storytelling – A post should not be just a post, it should be a story of the client’s experience, results and journey under your treatment! Posting before and after pictures is well and good, but they will not live up to their potential impact if you do not incorporate storytelling, an easy method if you include the following:

a.      A HOOK – Grab the viewer’s attention and give an impression that this post is relevant or specific to them, as well as drawing attention to your caption as a whole and all the information you include there. Some examples: ‘The #1 thing you need to know…’ ‘Here’s the tea on…’ ‘This could be the reason you’re not…’

b.       BACKGROUND/PROBLEM – If you include the details of what the client was suffering from and why this treatment was suitable for them, prospective clients with a similar issue will find this relatable and a possible solution for themselves.

c.      RESULT/TRANSFORMATION – This is where the images come in to give immediate impact through visual proof. Also ensure to include how the customer felt, if they were happy with results and if it made them feel more comfortable and confident within themselves. These are the sorts of things people will be willing to spend their money on a treatment for, being impactful on a personal level.

4.       Sell in the DMs – Encourage your ideal client to DM you. Find out their problems and offer information and solutions tailored to them. This helps build relationships which will attract prospective clients and build your client base.

5.      Follow Up – If any clients message you with a query, be sure to always follow-up! It leaves a bad taste in the mouth if someone is left on read and create a bad impression about your level of care or the welcome in your clinic.

6.      Reviews – Share client reviews on your stories. Having a story highlight so they are easily accessible when a prospective client views your page for the first time is ideal. Reviews build trust and reliability which equals bookings.

7.      Be Consistent – Post every day on your grid and your stories. The more you post the bigger audience you will reach. This also opens the door for more client DMs or comments in response to your post, boosting engagement and in turn bringing clientele in the door. A social media scheduling tool can help with this, or if you find yourself struggling to post consistently, have a look at our packages for social media management Glow Up Marketing - Ireland and Australia Salon Marketing Agency.

8.      Find your own Unique Selling Point – It is imperative that you separate yourself from your competitors, so you stand out. To do this you need a unique selling point, anything from affordability, your clinic vibe or offering a free consultation. Whatever it is, be sure to consistently market it in all your posts.

9.      Know Your Audience – Have a look at who is engaging with your socials, through likes, comments, DMs etc. If you notice a pattern or trend leading to a particular demographic, be sure to create and tailor content towards that demographic.

10. Post Your Promotions – This is key, as promotions which make your treatments and services better value than other clinics will prove to be what attracts new clients who may have previously been loyal to others.

These steps are all quite easy to adopt into your social media marketing strategies yet yield amazing results in growing your client base!
